Economic Outlook Very Promising
Recent Reports Show New Job Creation Through Small Business
|
Recent signs show encouragement about the U.S. economic recovery. According to a recent report by the Labor Department's household survey found in USA Today, employment is up an average of 321,000 a month since August. The majority of the hiring has been made by small businesses. The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) confirmed this when they took a survey, which found employment had increased for the first time in five months. Small businesses account for more than half of the 206,000 private employment taking place last month as reported by payroll processor ADP.
Additionally, the economy has grown 2% in the third quarter, and is forecast to have 3% growth for the fourth quarter. For 2012, the expectations are for the economy to grow approximately 2.75% next year according to a report by Barclays Capital, which should generate 215,000 jobs a month to cut unemployment to 8% by next year's end. VR Business Sales views these reports with an exciting optimism that's shared with economists, business owners and consumers as we celebrate the 2011 holiday season.

Many buyers will make an offer on a business, but it's the due diligence and the other steps that are critical in making sure you are not overpaying for something that lacks the value and growth potential in the long term.

Understanding Intellectual Capital in a Business
|
Intellectual Capital (IC) is just that: a capital asset consisting of intellectual material. As such, it is one of three forms of capital:
- Financial capital;
- Tangible or fixed assets, which include land, buildings, machinery and other long-lived equipment; and
- Knowledge.
To be considered intellectual capital, knowledge must be an asset - able to be used to create wealth.
