Michael Becker, pictured to the left with his wife Carmen Becker, graduated from Wichita State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Marketing. He worked as a Credit Manager with Norwest Financial Corporation(now Wells Fargo) for 2 years.

 

In 1992, Michael started is his own exclusive insurance agency with a Fortune 500 Insurance Company. He was the state agent of the year and won numerous national awards for being in the Top 100 Agents out of 4000 winning numerous incentive trips in building it from scratch into a Million Dollar Premium volume agency. In 1996 the Fortune 500 Company acquired Michael's Agency and Promoted Michael to the District Manager over the Southwest Missouri Area.

 

From 1996 to end of 2001 Michael's managed a 30 million dollar District and consistently finished in the top 10 in sales, profit and growth in the company. Michael also oversaw the acquisition and merger of multiple agencies and the opening of new offices. During and only during his time as District Manager, Michael obtained his Series 6, 63, and 26 licenses. Also, he earned the Advanced Managers Training Council designation (A.M.T.C.) sponsored by General Agents and Managers Association (G.A.M.A.). He also earned his Life Underwriter Council Fellowship designation (L.U.T.C.F.).

 

In late 2001, Michael had opportunity to acquire a large insurance agency in Springfield, MO area. He acquired another agency in 2003. The Mike Becker Agency, Inc continued to perform at the highest profit levels generating multi million dollars.

 

In 2009, Michael opened the VR Franchise in Springfield-Branson, MO. He won numerous awards including #9 in the Top 10 owners for 2013.

 

In 2011, Michael became partners with Jerry Myers. Jerry earned the top 10 Business Owner award in 2012. Michael obtained his CBI in June of 2013. Michael married the love of his life and mother of two of his precious children in July 2014. He sold his interests in VR Springfield-Branson to Jerry Myers and the Mike Becker Agency to the Fortune 500 Company he was contracted with in January 2015.

 

Michael is excited to be opening VR Kansas City with his wife Carmen Becker. In addition to their two children together they have 5 more from their previous marriages and lovingly call them the Becker Bunch!
